SYM are delighted to announce that they will be sponsoring the Cogs 4 Cancer 2014 bike ride. Now in its second year, the Cogs 4 Cancer ride aims to raise as much as possible for Cancer Research UK, and a local cancer charity. Everyone knows someone who’s been touched by this disease. With 100% of all donations going directly to the charities, sponsors and supporters can be sure their donations will have the biggest possible impact.

Last year was the inaugural Cogs 4 Cancer ride from Antibes to Palma. The riders raised 114,000 Euros which was an unprecedented amount considering the idea was only conceived six months before the team departed Antibes.

For this years ride which will take place in early October, the route has an Italian flavour. Starting at Ancona on the Adriatic sea, the riders will then cross over to the Mediterranean coast taking in the beautiful towns of Florence and Lucca. The ride will visit several Italian shipyards along the way before heading onto Monaco and then finishing in Antibes after traveling over 850km in six days.

It’s no easy task but if last years epic levels of commitment are anything to go by, it should be (almost) a walk in the park.

Once again Ben Young, managing director of SYM, will be riding with the team and is this years organiser.
