The SYM Superyacht Management team attended the annual London Boat Show at ExCeL from 10-14th January. Straight out of the blocks following the festive shutdown it not only gives us the opportunity to meet existing clients and discuss their upcoming plans for the summer but also the chance to secure new business and we are delighted to confirm the signing of 3 new management contracts !

Between positive sales reports and strong visitor numbers to include an array of Royalty and VIPs such as HRH The Princess Royal, Bernie Ecclestone, Christian Horner, Rt Hon. Lord Henley to name but a few, two important Sunseeker International announcements were made.

The British yard used the occasion of the five day event to announce a new partnership with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, made up of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Formula One team.

As both companies share technological breakthroughs from F1 with other related industries, the opportunity is perceived as a natural fit and sees the two companies collaborating on a new range of yachts, details of which will be announced in due course.

The second important announcement made further to a series of social media ‘teasers’ since the beginning of the new year was Sunseeker International’s appointment as official partner of the Fifa World Cup taking place in Russia this year.

Surrounded by an array of football artefacts along with a replica Jules Rimet Trophy that will be awarded to the winning team in Russia this summer, was 1966 World Cup winner and England hat-trick hero, Sir Geoff Hurst. Together with TV broadcaster, Jake Humphrey, they disclosed the exciting news in the presence of excited onlookers who were treated to several football-related tricks of the trade.

The London Boat Show not only displays the latest and greatest but shares a rooted celebration of all that is marine and boating, evident with the line-up of companies exhibiting and the unmissable attractions on offer.
